Bug the Bookworm

Since we've started browsing the stacks at the library after preschool storytime, Bug has become quite the bookworm! Current favorites would have to be the Olivia books, John Lithgow's kids' books, the Polo books, the Harold and the Purple Crayon books, and Nancy Shaw's sheep books. One of these days, I'll have to post a video of her "reading" Tikki Tikki Tembo-- I'm rather impressed that she can already say his whole name: Tikki tikki tembo no sa rembo chari bari ruchi pip peri pembo.

And beloved favorites she should check out? Feel free to leave titles in the comments!

  1. Great choices Bug! Ali like Olivia as well. We like the "How Does a Dinosaur" series here. Oh, and check out "Llama, llama, Mad at Mama" and "Llama, Llama, red Pajama"

  2. We've read a couple of the Dinosaur series, but I'll have to put the Llama books on our hunting list for Thursday's trip-- thanks!

  4. Auntie Jen used to love the Beatrix Potter books because they fit in her hand

  5. We are big fans of books by Mo Willems (the pigeon books, Piggie and Elephant.) We also like Jim and Kate McMullan (I Stink, I'm Dirty) but these are definitely boy books. Skippy Jon Jones books are great for car trips - especially if you have the CDs of the author reading the text. We max out our library card each week - and so far have only owed $2 in fines :)
